Grammar

Written and spoken communication

Health, feelings and need expressions without literal translation

Useful constructions include Ich habe Kopfschmerzen, Mein Rücken tut weh, Mir ist schlecht, Ich brauche Hilfe, Ich hätte gern einen Termin. Learn the whole pattern with its context; English/Hindi subject choices do not force the same German subject.

Ich habe seit gestern Schmerzen describes an ongoing problem; Ich hatte gestern Schmerzen describes a past state. German body descriptions often use a definite article rather than an English-style possessive in constructions such as Ich wasche mir die Hände. These are language examples, not medical advice.

Example
Mein Hals tut weh. Ich brauche einen Termin.
English
My throat hurts. I need an appointment.
Hinglish
Mere gale mein dard hai. Mujhe appointment chahiye.
Worked example

Mein Zahn tut weh. Haben Sie heute einen Termin frei?

Hinglish: Mere daant mein dard hai. Kya aaj aapke paas koi appointment slot khaali hai?
