These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Expat Speak (the “Service”), provided by Ashish Alexander.
1) Who we are

2) Eligibility
You must be 16 years or older to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3) The Service
The Service is a voice-first language learning experience designed to help users practice speaking German in realistic scenarios.
We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
4) Accounts
Some features may require you to create an account or sign in (e.g., to continue beyond free content or to access purchased content).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service.
- Upload or transmit content that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
6) Voice interactions (core feature)
The Service requires voice input for language evaluation. You must provide the required consents before using voice features (Terms/Privacy acceptance and voice consent).
7) Purchases, access levels, and delivery
We offer access tiers (e.g., “Standard” and “Full”) for specific content series.
Purchased access is delivered digitally and typically becomes available immediately after payment confirmation.
8) No refunds / right of withdrawal (digital content)
No refunds: As a general rule, purchases are non-refundable.
If applicable law grants you a right of withdrawal for digital content or digital services, we require your express request to begin delivery immediately and your acknowledgement that you may lose the right of withdrawal once delivery begins. This acknowledgement is collected at the payment gate prior to redirecting you to the payment provider.
9) Intellectual property
We and/or our licensors own all rights in the Service, including software, text, audio, and content assets. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
10) Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
The Service is for educational purposes only and does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
12) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may require re-consent before continued use.
13) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Mandatory consumer protection laws may still apply depending on your place of residence.
