A clear agreement for one connected course.

The course

Expat Speak provides an interactive German A1 learning experience across sixteen connected chapters. It supports practice and feedback; it is not an accredited school, immigration service, legal service or guarantee of an examination result.

Accounts

One learner account keeps the story profile, progress and attempts connected across devices. Learners must provide a working email address, protect their password and avoid sharing an account in ways that bypass the course or provider limits.

Free and paid access

• The public opening exchange does not require an account.
• Chapter 1 is included after account creation.
• Chapters 2–16 require the €12.99 monthly subscription while it is active. There is no trial.
• Story progression still applies; payment does not skip earlier learning situations.

Billing and cancellation

Stripe handles checkout, invoices, payment methods and cancellation through its hosted portal. The €12.99 subscription renews monthly until it is cancelled. Cancelling takes effect immediately: it stops future charges and removes access to Chapters 2–16, but it does not delete the learner’s account or completed course record.

A cancellation can also be submitted at any time through the permanently available online cancellation form. The form records the declaration and returns a timestamped receipt. Invoices and receipts remain available through Stripe’s hosted portal.

Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers generally have fourteen days from the first subscription purchase to withdraw from the distance contract without giving a reason. Use the online withdrawal form or send an unambiguous statement to ashlx@hwsaver.com. A valid withdrawal ends paid access, preserves course progress and receives the refund required by applicable law.

After the withdrawal period, payments are normally non-refundable once the subscription month has begun, except where mandatory law requires a refund or a verified billing error occurred. This does not limit statutory consumer rights.

Availability and changes

Expat Speak may change course content, providers or technical delivery to improve the service, security or reliability. Existing completion evidence will not silently become a new claim of mastery. Material price or agreement changes require clear notice before they apply.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the service, automate abusive provider requests, upload unrelated media, interfere with another learner’s account, or use course content in violation of applicable law. Reasonable accessibility tools and personal learning use are welcome.

Ending the agreement

A learner can cancel paid access without deleting progress, or record an account deletion request from the account page. Expat Speak may restrict access when necessary for security, abuse prevention or legal compliance, with proportionate notice where possible.

Operator and governing law

The agreement is with Ashish Alexander, at the address shown in the imprint. German law applies, while mandatory consumer rights in the learner’s country continue to apply.
